MOROCCO SOCIAL IMPACT TRAVEL (MSITravels) was founded on the principle that culturally and environmentally responsible travel can be a powerful force for change. Tourism should contribute to conservation and benefit local communities. The main idea beyond creating this social business is to help vulnerable families and to contribute in creating a sustainable development in some vulnerable areas that need more attention and care. For that, 15% of the yearly revenue will go directly to two associations

- « Association Anajah pour le Développement et les Travaux Sociaux » works to reduce the dropout of school of girls in a small village called Rbat Lahjar in Zagora City, And simultaneously works to provide water for the population in a desert area that has a bad water shortage situation.

- « Chabab Time » works all over Morocco to increase the participation of youth in managing the local issues. It works to help the young people’s voice heard.

These two associations may either help directly the vulnerable families in their areas of work by organizing summer camps for their children and helping them create their own local social enterprises.

HOW WE SELECT THE VULNERABLE FAMILIES WE SUPPORT

We focus on the vulnerable families (widows, divorced, big poor families, nomads ...) in the marginalized areas. Their selection is based on the area and our itinerary, meanwhile their willingness to help themselves and to join our Morocco social project. We believe that helping others must be through their willingness to help themselves and by holding the slogan that says "if you give a poor man a fish you feed him just for a day but if you teach him to fish you give him an occupation that will feed him for a lifetime." Yet, our experience in tourism and the assessment we’ve run with many customers, during this last years, offer us an asset to merge the sustainable travel with custom travel without losing the benefit of enjoying your holidays and the beautiful touristic sights you’re willing to visit.

Least but not last, we want you to have the opportunity to give back, to support vulnerable families in meaningful ways. To build authentic connections and know that your visit matters. That when you leave, you’ll take carpets and Argan Oil and lanterns and photographs and memories, but you’ll also leave a mark that made a difference.

RESPONSIBLE TRAVEL

The opportunity to enhance one's personal travel experience by learning, sharing and making a contribution can be the inspirational purpose which guides travelers exploring the world. Through the sensitive design and operation of our tours, the participation by travelers in supporting vulnerable families and supporting the non-profit organizations, we encourage more environmentally responsible travel. By assisting local communities and demonstrating a concern for the value we place on ecological and cultural preservation, ecotourism can become an instrument of sustainable development. The active and compassionate involvement of our travelers and our volunteers, at a minimum, heightens our own awareness of problems and the practical difficulties in solving them. Further, through direct employment and payment of fees, and our interest in conservation and native cultures, it demonstrates the value of ecotourism, conservation and cultural preservation to local people thereby creating an interest in stewardship among communities.
