Oudaya Kasbah
The fortress Kasbah of Oudayas built on the top of a cliff, as a watching Minaret of Rabat against the invasion from the sea. The Kasbah’s name comes from the Arab tribe of Oudaias with a warriors past that was settled here by Moulay Ismail in the 15th century to protect the city from the threat of rebel tribes. The main and only entrance of the kasbah is Bab Oudaya that leads to the El-Atika Mosque, two archetypal examples of Almohad military architecture that built in the 12th century.
