Draa Valley
The Draa valley is a 125km belt of date-palm oasis that eventually merges into the Sahara near the village of M’Hamid El-Ghizlane. Actually, rock engravings discovered near Tinzouline (35km from Zagora) show that the Draa valley was inhabited by warriors from prehistoric times. The valley, where buildings are in good state of preservation, contains a wealth of Ksour and Kasbahs lined on the roadside and that dwelled by different tribes that each of them represent a race or a family who were once a time fighting for a fertilized land beside the valley.
