Technically, the gorges Begins immediately from the first roundabout
before crossing the valley of Dades to the down town of Boumalne Dades. A
mixture of modern houses in brown breeze block built by emigrants who have
returned to Morocco stand out as unfortunate blots on the landscape and older Ksour
edge the road. As it rises the road passes some dramatic geological high cliffs
of limestone and weirdly shaped erosions. The road runs along the edge of deep
canyons, home to royal eagle and vultures. Where an extraordinary cliff known
as the Monkey’s Fingers roses from the far side of the valley.
