Bahia Palace
In Arabic Bahia palace means the “place of the favorite”. The palace was built by two powerful viziers, Si Moussa and his son Ba Ahmed, at the end of the 19 century. The palace complex consists of two parts each built at different times. The oldest part built by Si Moussa and the newer part built by Ba Ahmed who hired the best craftsmen in the kingdom to build and decorate this palace. Not surprisingly, Marshal Lyautey chose to live here during the protectorate.
